We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compensation Specialist to join our HR team at Miller’s Ale House.   This role will be responsible for managing and implementing all compensation-related changes across all levels of the organization, with a strong emphasis on total rewards programs. The ideal candidate will have experience with compensation strategies, a deep understanding of HRIS systems, and the ability to analyze compensation data. This role also involves creating and maintaining effective communication around total rewards, which includes salary, benefits, and other incentive programs.

 

 

Compensation Administration:

    • Oversee and manage compensation changes for all employees across various levels of the organization, including new hires, promotions, transfers, and salary adjustments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation data for employee changes in the HRIS system.
    • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and department heads to ensure compensation packages are aligned with company standards and budgets.

HRIS Management:

    • Maintain and update employee compensation data within the HRIS system.
    • Ensure system accuracy and compliance by reviewing compensation data entries and resolving any discrepancies.
    • Work closely with the HRIS team to improve compensation-related reporting capabilities and system functionalities.

Total Rewards Programs:

    • Lead the communication and administration of total rewards programs, which encompass base salary, bonuses, benefits, stock options, and other incentives.
    • Work with leadership to design and enhance compensation packages that promote employee retention, engagement, and attraction.
    • Develop and distribute Total Rewards Statements to employees, clearly outlining the full value of their compensation and benefits package.
    • Support the ongoing evaluation of total rewards programs to ensure competitiveness in the market and alignment with organizational goals.

Compensation Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in total rewards offerings.
    • Prepare and present reports on compensation metrics, including market comparisons, salary ranges, and equity analysis, and their impact on total rewards.
    • Provide recommendations to senior management based on data insights to enhance total rewards strategy and ensure market competitiveness.

Compliance & Best Practices:

    • Ensure that all compensation practices, including total rewards, comply with legal requirements and company policies.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to compensation, benefits, and total rewards.
    • Provide guidance and support to HR business partners and managers on total rewards-related questions and concerns.

Process Improvement:

    • Identify and recommend improvements to compensation and total rewards processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Assist in the development of total rewards strategies that promote employee engagement, retention, and motivation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compensation management or HRIS-related roles, with a focus on compensation administration and total rewards.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, Workday, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking tools (e.g., Payscale, Mercer) and total rewards platforms is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of compensation strategies, job evaluations, pay equity, and market analysis, as well as total rewards principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant labor laws and regulations regarding compensation, benefits, and total rewards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
